# Comparing Labels

### Getting There

Click **Compare Activity** on the Labels list page. A direct URL works too, with labels pre-selected, such as `/labels/compare?labels=1,2,3`.

### Selecting Labels

The **label selector** dropdown at the top of the page chooses which labels to compare. Search by name and select up to **5 labels** at a time. Each one gets a distinct colour, so you can pick it out in the charts and statistics.

### Date Range

The date range filter sets the period behind every statistic and chart on the page.

### Statistics Table

A side-by-side table with one column per selected label. Each column shows:

* **Total People**, the number of people ever assigned this label
* **Peak Count**, the highest number holding it at one time
* **Retention Rate**, the percentage who still hold it
* **Avg Time Spent**, the average duration people hold it

Each column header carries a coloured dot matching that label's colour in the charts below.

### Charts

#### Activity Over Time

A multi-line chart, one line per selected label in its own colour. It plots daily activity across your date range. Hover for a shared tooltip with every label's value at that point.

#### Key Metrics

A grouped bar chart comparing **Total People** and **Peak Count** across your selected labels. Each label gets a pair of bars, which makes the most active ones obvious.

### Empty State

With no labels selected, the page prompts you to pick one or more from the dropdown and start comparing.
