# Stack Tags

### Viewing Tags

The tag list shows each tag with its:

* **Name**, displayed as a coloured badge
* **Stacks**, the number of stacks using it
* **Updated by**, whoever last modified it

The search bar filters by name.

### Creating a Tag

Click **New Tag** in the top-right corner, then fill in:

* **Display Name**, the tag label, up to 254 characters. Names must be unique, so no two tags share one.
* **Colour**, picked for the tag badge from the colour picker.

Click **Save** to create the tag.

### Editing a Tag

Click any tag in the list to open the edit form. Change the name and colour, then click **Save**.

### Deleting a Tag

Open the actions menu, the three-dot icon, next to a tag and select **Delete**. Flapjax asks you to confirm before removing the tag for good.

**Tip:** you assign tags to stacks as you create or edit a stack. Use them to group related stacks, say a "Finance" tag across every finance stack.
