# Timezone

### Why It Matters

Times across Flapjax adjust to the timezone you pick here. Activity logs, report data and record creation dates all match your local clock.

One point deserves attention. **Scheduled automations use the timezone set on the schedule itself**, not this account setting. Your account timezone only pre-fills that field with a sensible default. Each schedule then stores its own timezone. See [Triggers & Scheduling](/docs/automations/triggers-and-scheduling.md).

### Setting Your Timezone

Pick your timezone from the **Select Timezone** dropdown. The change takes effect straight away, with no save button to press.

Your current timezone appears under the dropdown for quick reference. Set nothing and Flapjax falls back to your browser's timezone.

### Live Preview

The page shows one timestamp twice, side by side: in UTC and in your selected timezone. Use it to confirm your choice before moving on.
