# Delays

#### Delay Timer

Pause the flow for a fixed amount of time.

* **Timer type**, the unit: minutes, hours, days or weeks.
* **Duration**, the number of units to wait. Use a fixed number, or a variable from an earlier action.

#### Delay Until Date

Pause the flow until a specific date and time.

* **Date rule** sets how you specify the date:
  * **Specific date** takes a date from the calendar, or a variable.
  * **Specific days** takes the days of the week to wait for.
  * **Day duration** waits a set number of days, from 1 to 30.
* **Time rule** sets when on that day:
  * **Time of day** takes morning, afternoon, evening or night.
  * **Specific hour** takes an exact hour.
  * **Between times** takes a start and end hour window.
* **Timezone** sets which timezone applies.

#### Delay Until Event

Pause the flow until one or more events occur, with a timeout fallback.

* **Event cases**, one or more events to wait for. Each carries:
  * **Event type**, chosen from the available trigger events
  * **Path name**, a label for this branch
  * **Conditions**, an optional rule builder that filters which events count
* **Timeout**. No event inside the duration you set sends the flow down the "End of Delay" path, which runs its own timer.
